pH neutral soap-
A lot of commercial detergents are enzyme based. Enzymes are used to remove stains. Some enzymes are strong enough to break down fibers and dyes (this is how acid wash denim is made). Enzyme based detergents will break down dyes more quickly. Highly acidic/alkaline soaps could also alter natural dyes after many washes. We advise using a pH neutral, enzyme free soap. Scared you won’t be able to find one? Our favorite is under a lot of people’s kitchen sinks: Dawn Dish Soap.
